Ted Lasso Podcast: Divorces (and lots of other things) Are Hard

All Apologies and The Hope that Kills You are the final two episodes of Ted Lasso Season 1. Here are my notes for the podcast discussion:

Big ticket items to discuss:

1. Rebecca fessing up to Ted. The solidification of their personal and professional relationship.
2. What to do about a declining Roy? How do you handle “benching” a player?
3. Richmond is relegated.

Developments:

• Becs and Rupert having a baby.
• Rebecca telling Ted. You’ve just had enough of it all and that prompts you to aggressively cross off some things you’ve been dreading.
• The cementing of the Lasso and Rebecca bond. Period.
• Beard and Nate tactics. Cold shoulder silent.
• Jazz Higgins. The Van Dyke facial hair. Trident the other day.
• 3rd time with. the peanut butter.
• Try to apologize to me in our dreams too.
• 9 ends with roy accepting his position on the team.
• 10 starts with Nate promoted.
• The sesaon as a whole. Where we started? Where we ended?

Other stuff:

• cold tubs. Lot cheaper to get in that big trash can.
• Getting old. Roy and Danny. Anne, has it hit you? Me?
• I’m outy 5000.
• Higgins chews pens. Your annoying habits? Feminine junior.
• Coaching methods: handling benching of Roy.

1. Rebecca tells Ted (confesses) what she’s been doing.
2. Roy tells Keeley about how Ted wants to bench him. I like being Roy Kent. Phoebe describes Roy.

5. Do you believe in miracles? Ted’s pep talk before the game.
6. Sam has Roy stay down to hear the Roy Kent chant. Do you remember your last game? Keeley comes in to see him.
